The Piccirillo Handicraft Center is a social enterprise founded by the John Paul II foundation and the Custody of the Holy Land. The Center seeks to meet the economic and social needs of the city’s population by creating training opportunities in handicrafting. Once novices become artisans, they produce handicrafts which are then sold to tourists and pilgrims with funds cycling back into the program. The Piccirillo Handicraft Center desired to create a live action video that showcased the high-quality of their handicrafts alongside the social message they represent. They wanted to focus on the artistry behind each object, the vulnerable communities that their programs serve, and to encourage people near and far to purchase their products.
