POSITION OVERVIEW: Element Media is looking for a skilled UI/UX designer to join our team of innovative designers. The ideal candidate is a talented creative artist with technical expertise who can work both alongside a team as well as independently in designing highly visual, intuitive, and engaging digital products.
The UI/UX Designer should have the ability to think outside-of-the-box, try new approaches, and continually iterate based on data, user, and client feedback. The UI/UX designer will be responsible for end-to-end experience design including, storyboards, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to illustrate design ideas and direction. With the result being the delivery of appealing and engaging user interfaces, that satisfy user needs, business and brand requirements, and technical constraints.
The UI/UX Designer will have an immediate effect on our brand and that of our clients’, as well as an ongoing impact in solidifying our growing local and international reputation for stellar design.
- This is a full-time position (8am – 4pm, Mon to Thu and Sat), based in our Bethlehem office.
- English language proficiency strongly preferred.
- Salary commensurate with experience.
OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE:
- Create design deliverables such as sitemaps, wireframes, storyboards, mockups, and prototypes
- Design user interface elements such as menus, buttons, fields, tabs, widgets, and icon libraries
- Create cohesive and exhaustive design system and accompanying style guidelines
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with the Project Manager and developers
- Conduct user research and usability tests, and incorporate findings into design decisions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accessibility standards, as well as general UI and UX standards
- Making sure that the final design product is suitable with the web responsiveness pages and mobiles
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in web design, multimedia design, related field OR equivalent training or experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience planning and developing websites
- Experience in Figma
- Experience in Responsive designs
- Dedication to innovative, sophisticated designs and collaborative problem solving
- Ability to work independently with technical guidance and creative oversight from management
- Upholds a very high standard of work deliverables
- Artistic sensibility alongside technical ability
- Execution/task oriented with proven time management skills
- A strong customer service orientation
- Because we are an international company, English language proficiency strongly preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Bootstrap 5
- Proficiency with content management systems, including WordPress
