VIS recruited Element Media to design their website as well as to produce a series of promotional videos that showcased the many artisans that make up the Bethlehem Handicraft Platform. VIS wanted the video to communicate the artistry and quality behind the handicrafts, which often goes unnoticed in a world where “fast and cheap” has become the golden rule. We settled on the concept of “the artist at work,” and visited each of the artisans in their workshops, capturing the minute details of their labors of love. After significant research, we developed a narrative script that would communicate the essence of BHP’s work, striking a tone that would best represent their international efforts. What resulted was an inspirational video that shows the breadth, depth and talent of Bethlehem’s artisans. We also created a short promo video for VIS that spread awareness about the launch of their campaign.
